How To Create An Affiliate Website
It is actually very simple to build your own website, thanks to technological advancements.
In reality:
You don’t need any “tech skills” because it’s so easy.
There are only three steps to creating an affiliate site:
- Get a domain name & set up web hosting
- Install a website builder
- Customize your affiliate website
Let’s take a closer look at each of these moves…
Step 1: Get A Domain Name & Setup Web Hosting
What is a domain name, and what is web hosting?
A “domain name” is the address of your website.
For example:
My domain name is: www.AffiliateHelpCenter.com and Google’s domain name is www.Google.com
On the other hand, Web hosting is a service that makes your domain name available on the internet.
BlueHost offers web hosting as well as domain registration.
This is the company I use for my affiliate pages, as do the majority of people.
Go to BlueHost and press the Get Started button to get started with your site:

It’s entirely up to you the option you prefer, but I’d suggest the Choice Plus plan. (Either strategy, however, will suffice.)
Since it has “domain protection,” which prevents your personal information from being shared publicly online.
Simply choose your preferred plan by clicking the blue Select button:

Select a Free Domain Name:
It’s fine if you haven’t yet come up with a domain name. You can skip this step, and set up your domain at a later time:

Create A BlueHost Account:
Simply enter your details in the “account information” section, such as your name, address, and so on.
Since information about your account will be sent to that address, make sure to use a valid email address.
You can also sign up via Google if that is more convenient:

Confirm Your Package Information:
Please keep in mind that BlueHost does not offer a monthly payment option.
Instead, they only allow you to pay in advance for 12, 24, or 36 months.
It saves you money by doing so, but it’s a great deal either way:

Choosing Package Extras:
Except for the Single Domain SSL alternative, I’d suggest unchecking them all.
An SSL encrypts your site and displays a padlock next to your domain name in your browser’s address bar.
If you don’t have one, visitors will notice that your site isn’t safe, which isn’t good:

Fill in the following information about your payment:
To buy your web hosting kit, enter your billing details.
Check the box to indicate that you agree to BlueHost’s terms, then press the green Submit button:

Order Confirmation:
BlueHost will approve your order and give you an email confirmation after you’ve purchased your hosting contract.
By clicking the green Build Your Password button, you can create a password for your BlueHost account.

Log Into Your BlueHost Account:
By clicking the blue login button, you’ll be able to log into your BlueHost account:

Step 2: Install A Website Builder
After you log into your BlueHost account, BlueHost will ask if you want “WordPress” installed.
You’ll say yes because WordPress is what you’ll use to customize your site and create/edit content.
Choose a “theme” for your website before you start downloading WordPress:

Your website’s “styling” is described by a theme.
After WordPress has been mounted, you can change themes at any time.
Click the blue Start Building button once you’ve decided on a theme.

This will set up WordPress for you.
You’ll get confirmation of the installation once it’s done.
To log in to WordPress, go to the Login To WordPress tab:

This will take you to your affiliate website’s WordPress dashboard, where you’ll go “behind the scenes”:

A Welcome To WordPress message will appear, along with instructions for having the basics set up.
I suggest that you follow these steps:

Step 3: Customize Your Affiliate Website
When you preview your website, it will look something like this by default:

One of the first things you can do is remove the default blog post that all new WordPress websites come with.
You’ll also want to get rid of the “meta widget:” tag.

To delete the default blog post, go to Posts => All Posts:

This will display all blog posts, including the default WordPress entry, that has been made for your website.
To remove this post, hover over the post and click the Trash tab:

Next, you’ll want to delete the default meta widget.
For this, go to Appearance => Widgets:

The meta widget will appear, and you will have the option to disable it:

Other widgets can be active by default, depending on your theme.
Archive, categories, and recent comments, for example:

These can be omitted from the WordPress widgets area if you don’t want them.
You’ll then want to change your “permalinks.”
The URLs of the pages or posts you make will look like this by default: https://yourwebsite.com/2019/04/21/dog-training/ http://yourwebsite.com/2019/04/21/dog-training/
It will have the date in the URL, which you don’t want because it doesn’t look professional.

Choose the Post Name setting, then click the blue Save Changes button:

If you want to change your theme, go to Appearance => Themes: Change Theme at any time.

Click the Add New Theme tab to browse thousands of different themes:

You can modify (or edit) your website’s title and tag line by going to Settings => General: Title and Tag Line.

You’ll be able to change the name (title) and tagline of your website:

If you want to create a blog post, go to Posts => Add New:

The post editor will open as a result of this.
Give your post a title and fill in the blanks with your content:

If you want to change your fonts, colors, or lay out of your website, go to Appearance => Customize:

This will display your websites main customization options/settings:

You’ll need to learn how to use WordPress so that you can customize your website to your taste.
It’s easy to use and perfect for an affiliate website (s).
The more you use WordPress, the more familiar you will get with it.
